Made from solid 18k gold, this antique pencil fob is likely from the early 1800s! This fully-functional piece is an exceptional desk trinket or a lovely addition to your golf bag – those double bogeys will at least be glamourous to write down!This antique propelling pencil was made by Sampson Mordan, the co-inventor of the first mechanical pencil. The pencil is signed “S. MORDAN & Co”, stamped “S M & Co” and features a Sheffield Crown and an “18” mark, denoting 18k gold. The other marks used for dating are too worn to be visible. Condition:This pencil fob is in EXCELLENT condition. The fob comes pre-loaded with a pencil, and is fully functional! The action is easy to use, and the warm yellow gold patina is inviting.
