eBay Italian Solid Silver Ceramic Teacup or Demitasse cup with Trellis motif Kronester Bavaria Porcelain with Gold Painted Rim Marked 33VC 800 Presented is an elegant Italian solid silver tea-cup holder and saucer with a permanent or un-removable Porcelain insert with gold rim marked for J. Kronester Bavaria ceramics. This beautiful silver saucer and cup holder is marked for 800 fine silver with a maker’s mark of 33 VC in a lozenge shape mark for the silver company registered by Giulio & Geom. Umberto in 1961. American standard sterling silver is 925 fine so there is slightly less silver in this alloy. This beautiful set has only some pin-prick dings, no monogram and only some fine scratches from gentle use and care. This is an elegant piece for use or display and a great addition for the silver collection. I have an interesting assortment of items listed so please look at my other auctions. Dimensions: Cup – 2 ¼” inches high, 2 1/8” inches wide, 3 ¼” inches across edge to handle Saucer – 4 ½” inches across Weight: 4.2 ounces on my postal scale or 119 grams Mark: marked for J. Kronester Bavaria ceramics.
