ANTIQUE JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD KUTANI PORCELAIN RIVERSCAPE PLATE You are being offered a very finely potted Antique Japanese Kutani Porcelain Plate with a Swirling Lobed Border and decorated with a Hand Painted Riverscape Scene with Houses and Trees and a Bridge over a River with Mountains in the Background. We are quite certain the Plate was made in Kutani during the Meiji Period and it has “Dai Nippon Kutani Tsukuru” (Made in Great Japan by Kutani) Hand Printed in Kanji Script on its Bottom. The Plate measures 8¾ inches in diameter and 1 inch high when it is sitting on a flat, level surface. There is one tiny chip on its Rim; otherwise, the Plate is in Very Good Condition, without any other chips, cracks, scratches or repairs and all of its Gilt and Overglaze Enamel Decorations are intact.
