Unlike circulating coins, proof coins display brilliant backgrounds, with frosted, sculpted foregroundsProof coins receive the highest quality strike possible and can be distinguished by their sharpness of detail and brilliant, mirror-like surface. These mirror-like finishes are called Cameo or Deep Cameo. The chosen coins are then carefully placed with gloves in 2×2 Guardian flip holders, and shipped in strong plain envelopes to you. -Rev.
