Schuegraf [A 1]. Initially classified as a baritone, he then switched to tenor. He made his debut in the role of the young sailor in Tristan und Isolde by Richard Wagner. As an opera singer in the tenor field, he worked in Bayreuth, Berlin, Budapest, Buenos Aires, The Hague, Frankfurt / Main, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich, Paris, Salzburg and Vienna. [1]Wirl also sang operettas [2] and entertainment songs [3] – often in duets with well-known colleagues of his time.
